今回は日本人と時間について調べてみました🕒

世界でも有数の時間厳守の国民である日本人は何故時間に正確なのでしょうか？

実ははっきりとした理由は分かっていないのですが、調べてみると面白い事が分かりました😎

日本が現在の24時間で時を表す西洋式を取り入れたのは明治になってからでそれまでは日本独自の時間で行動していました

どんな時間の方式だったかと言いますと日の出と日没で昼と夜に分割します

さらに昼と夜を6分割して時を数える方法で時間を認識していたそうです

1日12時間制？

めちゃめちゃアバウトじゃないですか？

それだと季節によって時間もズレますしそもそも昼と夜で1時間の長さも変わります

草木も眠る丑三つ時って季節によって変わるんですよ😁

そんな時間にルーズな日本人が変わったのは明治に入って西洋式の時間で行動する様になってからです

24時間制を取り入れた日本は明治維新の変革とも合わさり学校教育にも取り入れられ子供の頃から

学校の開始時間、授業の開始時間などを意識するようになったのでしょう

それに加えて明治時代に普及した「鉄道」が日本人の時間に正確な国民性を決定付けたのではないでしょうか？

鉄道が普及したはじめは遅延などが多く乗り継ぎが出来ないなど不満が多かったそうですが

ほとんど全ての乗務員や駅員に懐中時計を配り時間を徹底する事で現在の正確無比な鉄道が始まったそうです

日本人が時間を意識するようになったのが義務教育が始まったタイミングでさらに本来の真面目さから鉄道などを

時間厳守で運営する事で「時間に遅れる＝ダメな人」のイメージが定着していったのではないでしょうか？

あと同じ日本でも沖縄の方はウチナー時間と言われそれほど時間に厳しくないのですが沖縄にはほとんど鉄道が普及しなかった事が関係あるのでしょうか？
