7月になりました！

福岡博多の夏の風物詩と言えば・・・・

本日から始まる「博多祇園山笠」です！！

毎年7月1日～15日に行われるお祭りなのですがご存じですか？

今では全国的に有名にもなりましたが海外からのお客様もずいぶん増えているようです

例年なら梅雨の時期に行われるので雨の中飾り山を見て回るのですが

今年は梅雨も明けて雨の心配は減りましたがその分熱いので熱中症にはお気を付けください

見どころは15日早朝4時59分から始まる追い山です

え！？

なんで5時じゃ無いのかって？

追い山は8番山までが順番に櫛田神社に山を奉納する櫛田入りから始まりますが

毎年1番山だけが「祝いめでた」を歌ってから櫛田入りします

その「1分間」が4時59分に始まる理由となっています

そんな早朝じゃ交通機関が動いてないから行けないよと思うでしょ？

ところが福岡県はJRの門司や直方、久留米、地下鉄姪浜、貝塚、西鉄久留米（花畑）筑前新宮

から追い山に合わせて早朝臨時便が運行されていますので安心です

The summer tradition in Hakata, Fukuoka is ・・・・

Hakata Gion Yamakasa" starts today!

Do you know this festival is held from July 1 to 15 every year?

It is now famous throughout Japan, and the number of visitors from overseas seems to be increasing as well.

Usually, the festival is held during the rainy season, so you have to go around in the rain to see the decorated mountains, but this year, the rainy season is over and it is raining.

This year, the rainy season has ended, so there is less worry about rain, but it is still hot, so please be careful not to suffer from heat stroke!

The highlight of the festival is the “Oiyama” which starts at 4:59 a.m. on the morning of the 15th!

What?

Why not 5:00 a.m.?

Oiyama starts from Kushida-iri (entrance), where the 8th and last floats are dedicated to Kushida Shrine in turn, but only the 1st floats are dedicated to the “Celebration” every year.

But every year, only the first mountain sings “Katsudo me-ta” before entering the Kushida Shrine.

That “one minute” is the reason why the festival starts at 4:59 a.m.

You may think that you can't go there that early in the morning because the transportation is not running, right?

However, in Fukuoka Prefecture, JR Moji, Nogata, Kurume, Subway Meinohama, Kaizuka, Nishitetsu Kurume (Hanabatake), and Chikuzen Shingu

(Hanabatake), so you don't have to worry about that!
